AN ANIMATED SERIES
"When the sudden disappearance of water, their main life-source, threatens to upend a vibrant utopia, Blaze, an intrepid teen must save their community before it’s too late. Created through a unique collaboration of artists, land, and housing activists, Mine is an animated web series that explores the difficult and worthwhile fight for the community you love."
In 2021, I had the honor of providing the voice for Blaze, a Black nonbinary teen and water protector, in the pilot for the animated series MINE. The pilot premiered at TRIBECA this year and is an official selection at the New Orleans Film Festival and Louisville's International Festival of Film, in addition to winning the Artizen Grant. My voice is featured alongside other talented voice actors on the audiobook of this brilliant and game-changing anthology for middle-grade readers. This is Our Rainbow: 16 Stories of Her, Him, Them, and Us is "the first LGBTQA+ anthology for middle-graders featuring stories for every letter of the acronym, including realistic, fantasy, and sci-fi stories by authors like Justina Ireland, Marieke Nijkamp, Alex Gino, and" other fantastic authors.

big green theater: the movie!

In February 2020, I was cast in The Bushwick Starr's 10th anniversary production of Big Green Theater, a program that brings theatre and environmental education (as well as activism) to elementary school classrooms. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the program had to be cut short and there could no longer be a theatrical production. However, in March I received an email asking if I was still interested in participating... but this time, in a filmed version.
I did live action performance as well as voiceover in this project. Watch me voice Maylah, a little green alien, in the video clip to the left (above on mobile)!
